Families encourage traditional Pakistani or Palestinian clothing, but any festive colors are welcome! 💫 Evening of January 17 – Reception/Baraat For this celebration, kindly dress in formal attire, such as gowns, suits, or elegant Pakistani/Palestinian gowns/outfits.

🌸 January 16 – Mehndi/ Henna Night ✨ Joota Chupai (“Hide the Shoe”) A playful tradition where the bridesmaids hide the groom’s shoes to keep him from leaving with the bride. The groomsmen must negotiate their return, expect fun, laughter, and a bit of friendly bargaining! ✨ Munh Meetha (“Sweet Mouth”) Married women are invited to the stage to offer the bride and groom sweets, blessing them with a sweet and joyful future. ✨ Dhol The celebration will be filled with the lively beats of the Punjabi Dhol (traditional drum), adding rhythm, blessings, and irresistible energy to the night. 💫 January 17 – Baraat / Reception ✨ Doodh Pilai (“Milk Ceremony”) The groom takes a sip of milk, and the glass is passed among the groomsmen, a symbolic way to bless them all with happiness and good fortune.

Together they will dance onto the floor, a beautiful tradition symbolizing blessings for the bride and groom.
