Ian and Amy met each other back in 2018 and quickly became friends. Both Amy and Ian were in relationships at the time and went on a couple double dates, but never thought they would end up together one day. As years went on and breakups/life changes happened, Ian and Amy talked from time to time just checking in on each other...Amy even remembers telling Ian some advice for dating back then, but again, never thought they would end up together. Around mid 2020, Franklin Hayes would message Amy a few times telling her that she should try dating Ian and that Ian was one of the best guys he know, but Amy was stubborn and never took up the offer. Well, 2021 came around and Amy wasn't even thinking about dating at that time, but decided to text Ian one day when she was at one of their favorite places, Diamondback. They then started talking daily and Ian asked if they could "hang out" sometime. Amy finally thought "man, he's really cute and seems like such a genuine person...why not?" so she decided to say yes. Both didn't really know if it was a date or not, but the plan was to go to Blakes in Armada, so it seemed likely. Ian, being the gentleman that he is, showed up to Amy's with flowers, walked her to his truck, opened the door, AND had a Monster sitting in the cup holder for her. It was a date. They had the best time having dinner and going through haunted houses, a corn maze, and shooting zombies with paintball guns. Amy knew he was a keeper. From then on, they were inseparable. Fast forward to April 14th, 2023, Amy and Ian went on their first solo trip to Gatlinburg, TN where Ian decided to pop the question and it was the easiest question that Amy answered "yes" to. Now, they decided what better place to get married than the Smoky Mountains! Who knew these two would end up dating after years of friendship, but it has been the best decision ever made. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you and can't thank you enough for making the time and the trip to join us as we finally start our lifetime together as Mr. and Mrs. Skotak!
