Our Story
We met through the Army when I got promoted into Jackson’s unit. We started to get to know each other in October 2023 while doing medical coverage on a range. And yes, dating in the Army isn’t exactly encouraged (which is why I eventually went back to my old unit... but don’t worry, it all worked out!).
Despite the long distance between Wichita, KS, and Davenport, IA, we made time to go on dates whenever we could. On December 15, 2023, while in Wichita, we made our relationship official.
From there, we drove 8 hours back and forth just to see each other until we moved in together with our dog Stormi in Waukee, Iowa, in June 2024. We spent a lot of time watching movies, trying new breweries, visiting one another's families, and settling into our new jobs. Then, Jackson deployed, and we figured what better time to start planning a wedding than during a year-long deployment?
