Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Zosha Lenora and Carson Andrew
Since our early courtship we have been running away to Traverse City as often as we can. We've enjoyed many meals, hikes, wines & shops. Here are a few of our absolute favorites.
Mama Lu's - A Modern Day Taco Shop

Mama Lu's - A Modern Day Taco Shop

149 East Front Street, Traverse City, MI 49684

The pescado tacos are Zosh's #1 of all tacos... like ever. You don't want to miss the gauc and chips.

S2S Sugar to Salt

S2S Sugar to Salt

1371 Gray Drive, Traverse City, MI 49684

Carson cannot come to Traverse City without getting the notorious chicken sandwich from Salt 2 Sugar. There will be the sweetest brunette (usually in pig tails and a hat) that greets and serves you. She is not only the co-owner but the pastry chef. Her husband and co-owner is in the kitchen. Take a quiche home if your travels allow. It's always a nice treat and worth the wait.

Hickory Hills Ski Area

Hickory Hills Ski Area

2000 Randolph Street, Traverse City, MI 49684

In the off-season this ski hill is perfect for a hike or trail running. We have sweet memories of visiting with the pups. Believe us, the views from the top are worth the hill climb.

Oryana Community Co-op

Oryana Community Co-op

260 East Tenth Street, Traverse City, MI 49684

The most wonderful co-op for organic groceries. Their cafe and deli in the back left is clutch for some healthy food on-the-go. If the sun is out, their patio area outside the cafe is slice of heaven.

The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park

The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park

1490 Red Drive, Traverse City, MI 49684

Fun fact: We visited The Botanic Garden as a possible wedding venue. Fairy trails in the back are whimsical, as is the gift shop. Take a long walk in a small space through the Judith Groleau Labyrinth.
