FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests are requested to arrive by 3:00 PM, and seating will commence at 3:30 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM, and due to the layout of the space, late arrivals will NOT be allowed to enter once the ceremony starts — this will be strictly enforced. Since it’s a Friday, and Miami is notorious for having traffic around this time, we highly recommend allowing extra travel time. Arriving early means you can valet (complimentary), mingle, and find your seat with ease. If you do arrive late, you’ll be invited to wait in the cocktail hour space and help us get the celebration started there!

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is formal attire — suits, long or midi dresses, or elegant separates (like a dressy blouse with a skirt or tailored pants). Tuxedos and gowns are welcome but not required. Guests are also encouraged to wear Nigerian traditional attire if they prefer. Our wedding colors are navy blue, burnt orange, and gold — feel free to incorporate these colors into your attire! We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing white or green as those colors are for the couple.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Complimentary valet parking is provided for all guests. You can drive up, hand off your keys, and walk straight into the venue — no extra steps needed.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones are extended by invitation only. If your invitation includes an additional guest name, or if your RSVP form lists “Guest Name Unknown” beneath your name, you are welcome to bring a guest and enter their name when you RSVP. If neither of these apply, we kindly ask that you attend solo — We’ve thoughtfully curated an intimate guest list and truly appreciate your understanding.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, followed by an indoor reception. The venue features gravel, grass, and wooden surfaces, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we kindly ask that only children in the wedding party attend. We hope you enjoy a relaxing evening out, and thank you for understanding!

Question

How far is the venue from the airport?

Answer

The Cooper Estate is about 40–45 minutes from MIA, depending on traffic. If flying into FLL, expect a drive closer to 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

If you’d like to be near the venue, we recommend Airbnbs in the Redlands area. For more of a Miami experience, Coral Gables is a fantastic middle ground — close to the airport, fun neighborhoods like Brickell and South Beach, and not too far from the venue. (Just remember: all driving time estimates are based on the mythical land of “no traffic.”)

Question

How will I get to the venue and around Miami?

Answer

Renting a car or using rideshare apps (Uber/Lyft) are your best options for getting to and from the venue and around the Miami area. If you’re staying closer to the venue (e.g., Redlands), an Airbnb with parking is a great option.
