I am the bride’s niece so we’ve known each other my entire life. Even if we weren’t family, we’d be best friends because we are the same exact person. My aunt has given me some of my first and favorite travel memories since I was a child and has been by my side to help me navigate life for the past 25 years. I am so excited to be by her side when she says I do and gets the happy ending she has always deserved.

Zonie and I met while I was in foster care. She was my case manager and respite placement. I wasn’t always easy to deal with it but, she welcomed me into her heart and her home and has never let me go. Over the years, Zonie has become more of a mother to me. Zonie and I have very similar personalities and we understand each other. Zonie is a phenomenally beautiful person, both inside and outside. I am so excited to see her embark upon her journey as a wife.

I met Zonie as child. She was a residential counselor at a group home in which I lived. Zonie was... different. She was bright, witty, beautiful, and driven. She was unlike anyone I'd ever met before and I was drawn to her energy. Over the years we became almost mother/daughter despite only being 7 years apart. She saw something in me that I couldn't see within myself and invited me into her family. Lately, however, our relationship has blossomed into one more comparable to sisters. I value this one most. Zonie was always the blueprint of whom I wanted to be as a young woman. My prayer is that she is as proud of me today as I have always been in her.

Zonie and I met through my father. My father talked about her all the time! I was very curious about about this lady he met. Once I met Zonie, it all made sense. She is the sweetest, patient, and god fearing woman!

My relationship with Zonie began in the boot camp experience of nursing school where you had no choice but to find comfort in one another. One of our funniest moments together is when Zonie thought she could put air in my tire and ended up blowing my tire up. Here we are 2 broke students now faced with the dilemma of calling my Daddy to explain what happened and what we needed. Our years have been spent with tears, frustration, learning, growth and love and I am forever grateful that God has given me not only a friend but a Sister.

Mr. Glen is marrying my mom. My favorite memory is when Mr. Glen took me and my brother to a trampoline park almost a year and a half ago. We stayed up all night to play video games with him. He might not have been the best player, but it was fun.

Glen and I have known each other all of our lives, we are cousins. We used to get in all kinds of trouble when were kids, and as adults. People don’t know, but you used to be a gamer with that Atari 2600!

Glen Richardson and I have been friends for over 20 years now. He has truly been a great friend to me over those year. We met at our job, CCW, he was a forklift driver & I was a case picker. Thru the years we grew closer and closer. My favorite memory of our friendship is walking into my girlfriends aunt & uncle's house in Albuquerque, NM and seeing my close friend from back home in NC. His trip was a surprise to me all set up by my girlfriend. He stayed a few days and we had a great time!! I love you G-money.

Zonie and I work at the same company. We met by doing our jobs and collaborating on various events. We have found that we work well together! We have indeed had some interesting escapdes!!! What I love about Zonie...are many things. She is real and forthright. She is driven to see the underdog be noticed, considered and involved in the solution. She seeks to see and to bring out the better in people. You may not always agree with the approach; but if you listen and heed, you will be the better for it. Her love for family - specifically her sons is unparalleled! She is a sister from another mother! I am grateful for our sisterhood!

I have some many fond memories that I could share about my cousin Zonie. When me and Zonie come together we can talk for hours about any and everything while losing track of time. The memories that I cherish with my cousin is our long conversation that we share together that are meaningful for the well-being of our children and ourselves through our educational background.
