Our Story

We met the summer of 2021! We were 16 and 17 years old and head over heels for each other from the moment we met. I knew I was going to marry Silas 24 hours after meeting him.

This was the night we first told each other we loved each other, but also the last time we would see each other for a year.

During this time apart, God called both of us to missions in the same month and we had no idea! This is such a beautiful reminder of how God aligned our hearts while we were thousands of miles apart.

After a year of not seeing each other, we talked off and on while Silas was in Peru, but we still never officially started dating. We saw each other for a few weeks in the summer, then Silas moved to Liberty in August 2022!

A few months after I started college, Zoey came to "tour" Liberty and we knew we could not let each other go again. But we also knew she was leaving in 2 months to move to London for a semester.

Silas spent Thanksgiving with my family that fall in 2022 and we finally went on our first date!

I asked Zoey to officially be my girlfriend on November 25, 2022! we had 2 weeks to spend together after finals and before she moved!

Silas went back to Lynchburg for the last week of school, so of course I went to visit him and we went home to Memphis to spend a solid 2 weeks together

Like we said earlier, we knew we were going to marry each other. So, naturally, after 3 weeks of dating we decided to go to Italy for our honeymoon and we are headed there the day after our wedding!

Zoey moved to London, I finished my freshman year, and we both missed each other like crazy. But the Lord did some amazing work in both of our hearts during this time.

and we're back!!! 4 days after landing back in the states, I made the drive up to LU to see Silas! sweetest reunion ever!

I "graduated" high school, Silas began his full time job, and we celebrated our 6 month anniversary! Finally we would be living in the same place for more than 8 weeks!

Now we're both at Liberty!! this was from the start of my freshman year and Silas's sophomore year!

the year quickly ended and we were back to long distance for the summer, but I was in Memphis for a couple days to ask Zoey's dad for her hand in marriage!!

WE'RE ENGAGED!!! August 16, 2024 was the best day ever, Silas asked me to be his wife and it was so special. We prayed for this day for years and we are filled with gratitude to see God bring us here.

Now, we're counting down the days until we are husband and wife! we cannot wait to celebrate with y'all!!

We are blown away at God's faithfulness and grace to us. He has poured so much love on us and shown us how he has continued to align our hearts together over the years. We can only give glory to Him!
