Is there a ceremony?
Answer
Nope! We are not comfortable with the idea of making vows in a formal setting, in front of an audience. We will be getting married at the courthouse with just our witnesses and immediate family. This event is strictly the celebration. We would call it a "reception" if that didn't come with formal expectations. We just want to celebrate with our friends.
Question
What does Fantasy Garden Party mean?
Answer
About 50% Zelda, 25% Lord of the Rings, 25% D&D. What we really want is to gather all of our friends together to celebrate as a group. Low key, no big fuss, no aisles; just food, fun, friends, and booze. And nerds. We thought the best way to do this was to organize a potluck/backyard party around the fantasy garden theme.

What do I wear?
Answer
Clothes. We want you to be comfortable, but we'd love to see everyone embrace the fantasy garden theme. Dressy casual is the baseline- please step it up a bit from jeans and a t-shirt (yes, you too, Romain!). We will be outside, weather permitting, so dress accordingly. As you know, Zoey and Romain are nerdy, and would definitely enjoy the "extra initiative" if you want to come in cosplay or a fantasy-themed outfit. It is by no means required!

I don't see a registry. How do we get you a gift?
Answer
Since we've been living together for five years and already have a house, we don't really need more *things*. Instead, we would appreciate it if you could contribute to the wedding fund (which will cover the party expenses) and help us build a savings cushion for our future. Can I bring my dog?
Answer
We are coordinating a pet-friendly AirBNB for the party. If you're prepared for Static to be reaaeaaaally hyped, go ahead. But- you've been warned. Dogs that don't play nice with others will be asked to leave.
