In a shared circle of friends at Hofstra, Zoey and Jordan met casually several times. Zoey's friend Christie thought they would make a good match and wanted to set them up. However, Zoey was not a fan of the set up - it just had to happen naturally. One time at the bar (Mchebes, where else?) from afar, she saw Jordan across the room talking to a friend. She thought to herself, "Wow, he is cute...maybe Christie has the right idea" and gave the OK to Christie for a setup. Behind the scenes, Jordan had plans of his own and had already secured Zoey's phone number. He texted while Zoey was driving home for winter break and the conversation flowed. She couldn't put the phone down for the entire trip home. Winter break ensued, each with their own families, yet they were both eager for New Year's Eve when they had plans together with this shared group of friends. Zoey and Jordan united on NYE 2013. Turned out to be a special date, now to be commemorated for a lifetime.
