Travel Note

Walking to The Loeb Boathouse

Central Park is closed to traffic on weekends. By foot, to reach The Boathouse you enter the park at Fifth Avenue and 72nd Street and follow the traffic road to the right. It is a very pleasant walk and should take between three and six minutes.

Train

MTA: Q train to 72nd Street Station

*Be Aware: The weekend MTA Service is slow and with plenty delays!!! MTA: Take the to 72nd St. station. You can either walk on East 72nd Street to the Park entrance on 5th Avenue (16 min walk) or Take the bus: M72 Crosstown towards West Side, get off on 5 Av & E 72 St. To enter the Park.

Parking

Small parking garages may be found at 72nd and 73rd and 5th Avenue. The Metropolitan Museum garage at 80th Street and 5th Avenue. It is large enough so that you will always find a space and it is open 24 hours.

Rental Car

UBER or TAXI

Uber or Yellow Cabs are always available in New York City, but are not allowed in Central Park. Tell them to drop you off at 72nd Street & 5th Avenue.
