After twelve years together, we rang in the New Year (and our 12th anniversary) by deciding ✨ finally ✨ that it was time to make it official. Planning began on January 1st, because nothing says fresh start like impulsive confidence and fully committing to lucky 13 energy. Thirteen days later…on January 13th (yes, also my birthday), and just 13 days into our thirteenth year together - we eloped. Planned in exactly 13 days. Coincidence? We think not…every step of the way felt like the universe giving us a wink. No fuss, just us! One of our favorite pastimes is reading together around beautiful Charleston, so tying the knot at the Charleston Library Society felt perfectly on-brand. As for a celebration or vow renewal? That’ll happen at some point… give us another decade or so to figure it out. For now, we’re married, we’re happy, and we kicked off the year in the most perfect way.
