Milwaukee Public Market
An amazing way to spend the morning! It's a very nice walk from the Pfister. The Spice House has great seasoning mixes and sauces. Margarita Paradise has amazing cocktails and food. Most importantly, grab some cheese whips at West Allis Cheese & Sausage shop and salmon jerky at St. Paul Fish Company... and thank us later.
Lakefront Brewery
Max and Zoe's favorite brewery in Milwaukee! They have AMAZING cheese curds, ranch dressing, fish fry and beer (gluten-free beer, too!) Their daily tours are about an hour long, cost $16 and you get four 8oz. pours and a souvenir pint glass.
Milwaukee Art Museum
A close walk from the Pfister with truly outstanding architecture, art works and views of Lake Michigan. The museum holds one of the largest collections of works by Wisconsin native Georgia O'Keeffe! You can also catch some Monet, Warhol and pieces by Frank Lloyd Wright. After visiting, we recommend walking along the Milwaukee lake front.
Milwaukee Riverwalk
This is a 3-mile walk along the Milwaukee River through the city. Walk directly west from the Pfister on Wisconsin Avenue and you'll run right into it!
3rd St. Market Hall
This is a great spot for lunch with a huge variety of restaurants. Our favorite booth is Anytime Arepas (100% GF), but you'll also find sushi, pho, barbecue and more!
Sweet Diner
Our favorite breakfast spot! They can do gluten-free eggs benedict and very good coffee.
Colectivo Lakefront
A seriously BEAUTIFUL coffeeshop right on the lake front with great drinks and food. A local haunt and Max's favorite coffee.
