The party is on the East Side and the Beach Day is in Malibu, so wherever you stay within the City of Los Angeles will be convenient at some point! We suggest staying somewhere in Downtown, Echo Park, Silver Lake, Highland Park, or Hollywood as you'll be close to the Reception on Saturday night.
Airports: either LAX or BUR (highly recommended if you are staying downtown or on the east side! Burbank feels like an old bus station and usually is the same price as LAX.)
We've highlighted some good air bnbs and hotels near the party, but there are many more.
If looking on your own we suggest:
Highland Park, Mount Washington, Eagle Rock, South Pasadena, Downtown, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Frog Town, Atwater Village or Chinatown!

Ridesharing (Uber - Lyft) is very common and inexpensive in LA. A trip will cost roughly 9$ from the downtown/east side to the party venue. Also, there is an invasion of Bird/Lime scooters for the daring.
