Maid of Honor
Jessie has been a close friend of Zoe's since they landed in the same home room in 8th grade. Despite Jessie's move to Ireland in 2013, they have stayed inseparable. Over the years, and through many travelling experiences, Jessie has been, and will forever be, Zoe's sister from another mother. This is still true, even though we only have time now a days for a once a month (hopefully) video call where smoke and talk about people irrelevant to each other's lives. Zoe has always been thankful for her spirit, excitement, and for Jess' ability to make anything fun.
Best Man
Gage and Peter met in middle school, and it didn't take long for them to bond over their shared nerdiness. They were practically inseparable through most of middle and high school. They continued to bond through their shared interests in martial arts, the outdoors, and rock climbing. Even living together during their first year of college.
Maid of Honor
Andrea and Zoe befriended each other in college, and bonded over being women in the S.T.E.M. field. They soon realized that they are very similar people, who share similar life and love morals. Even down to our nerdy and introverted significant others! Andrea has become somewhat of a life mentor for Zoe, and she is endlessly thankful.
Best Man
Kevin and Peter met after Kevin moved to Portland in the 7th grade. Soon after Peter adopted Kevin into his friend group. They quickly became great friends, often hanging out together at Kevin's house, where they would play video games, walk around the old port, or on occasion construct dice boxes. They continued to be friends after Kevin moved to Farmington for college, often visiting during the summer or the holidays.
Bridesman
Bean has been a fun loving friend of the wedding couple for many years now, starting with his short stint at Shaw's Westgate with Zoe and Peter in 2017(ish. Look, that was a long time ago, I can't be expected to remember the date). Always the perfect addition to any party or gathering, he shares with us a love of board games and video games. Despite spending long stretches of time away from each other over the years, Zoe and Bean have always made the effort to reconnect and enjoy time together when time permits.
Groomsman
Xander and Peter have been friends since they met in middle school. They often get together during friend gatherings, where they stay up into the wee hours of the nights playing video and card games.
Bridesman
There are certain characteristics that Zoe values in her friends; Being open minded, being creative, being a good listener (particularly while Zoe rambles about how cool her job is), being interested in learning about the world and the lives of others, while also being willing to teach and educate. Stede easily checks all these boxes. They are a reasonably new addition to our lives (we roped them into our D&D campaign via our mutual friend Bean), and we hope they stick around for a long time!
Groomsman
Matt and Peter have been friends since high school. They would hang out to play D&D and often to build random things in his backyard/basement.
Officiant
Marebear has been like a second mother to Zoe since Jessie entered her life. Mary has done many things for Zoe throughout her life; Took her on family trips to Boston, taught her to shorten her pants (short people unite!!), housed her (and Peter) on many occasions in two different countries. All that aside, there is one thing that Mary has done for Zoe that she will forever be grateful for... officiating her wedding.
Wedding Planner
This amazing woman is Zoe and Nancy's personal Martha Stewart. She has been a family friend since Zoe went to school with her daughter, Bailey Hall. Since then, Deb has helped with so many things; Prom outfits, hair dying, new hair cuts. Everything Zoe knows about makeup a fashion came from Deb. We are beholden to her for all she has done to make this wedding happen!
