What's the best way to get to Akumal?

Answer

We recommend flying into Cancun International Airport, then booking a group or private shuttle ahead of time through your hotel or Air bnb manager. The shuttles are very easy to find as soon as you exit "Ground Transportation" at the airport. The ride to Akumal from Cancun is about 1.5 hours and ~$80 USD each way. If your hotel or Air bnb manager doesn't provide shuttle options you can book through Namaste Transportation. Is Akumal safe?

Answer

Akumal's crime rate is very low! It's a small and relatively quiet beach town. Most of the hotels in the area have security at each entrance to ensure visitors feel safe. Our advice would be to take the same precautions you would take back home.

What's the best way to get around Akumal?

Answer

The town of Akumal is quite small, so traveling by foot or renting a bicycle is our preferred mode of transportation to the local restaurants, cafes, bars and cenotes. If you do plan on exploring to Tulum, Playa Del Carmen, or further cenotes, we recommend renting a car for your stay. Taxis are also everywhere and are very reliable, but very pricey. Another option is to take the Colectivos, which are white buses (10-14 passengers) that run north and south along Highway 307.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at Casa del Cielo by 3:45pm so that you don't miss any of the festivities. The ceremony begins at 4:00pm.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception is "Beach Attire." We recommend rocking your sun dresses, floral prints, linen pants, short-sleeved button downs, and sandals.

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

There is limited parking available at Casa del Cielo, however we will have shuttles set up to bring guests to and from the villa. The shuttles will begin picking up guests at 3:30pm outside of Lol-Ha Restaurant on the day of the ceremony.

Finding Casa del Cielo: Wedding Ceremony & Reception Venue

We've had some questions about the exact location of our Akumal wedding ceremony and reception, and are so excited to share that we'll be hosting our special day at a beautiful private villa named Casa del Cielo in Akumal, Q.R., Mexico. The villa is located in Akumal, very close to Las Villas Akumal and Las Casitas Akumal. If you type "Casa del Cielo Akumal" into a google search, you'll be able to see the villa location clearly on google maps. You can also click on the "Map" button on our Schedule page and it will open up the location for you. We will have shuttles scheduled on the day of the ceremony to help bring guests to the villa from a handful of common areas in Akumal and will be sharing that info closer to our wedding date.
