FAQs

Question

What is a temple sealing?

Answer

A temple sealing is a sacred religious ceremony in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The sealing is a special ordinance held after our legal marriage ceremony, during which we make additional promises, and our union is blessed by God not just on earth, but for eternity. We have chosen to keep our sealing private and not invite guests. We’re so grateful to celebrate both this meaningful step and our marriage with you at our reception!

Question

Will there be a temple sealing?

Answer

Our temple sealing will take place privately prior to this celebration. This event is a separate reception where we'll celebrate with all our loved ones. We’re so grateful to share this special time with you and can’t wait to celebrate together!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

This is an open-house style reception, so please feel free to come anytime between 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm. We’d love to see you whenever you’re able to stop by!

Question

Do I need to RSVP?

Answer

RSVPs are appreciated, as they will help us plan for food and drinks, but not required.

Question

Will food be served?

Answer

Yes! We will have light refreshments, desserts, and drinks available throughout the evening.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence is the best gift, but we’re grateful for anything you choose to give! We are registered at Bloomingdales and Amazon. You can find links to our registries under the "Registry" tab.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire is perfect! Think sundresses, skirts, or dressy tops, and button-down shirts or slacks—similar to what you might wear to church. We want you to feel comfortable while celebrating with us.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Due to our venue restrictions, alcohol will not be allowed at this event. We’ll have plenty of refreshing non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy!
