It was September 2020. Mask-wearing pandemic days… I, Zoe, was working at Island Naturals health food store. Joseph had just moved to the Big Island from Kauai and was on the hunt for yummy local goodies for his private chef work. We caught each other's eye! He noticed my smile (showing through my eyes) and cheerful personality. I noticed his cute self and sweet heartedness. Soon Joseph was coming to "shop" three times a day! I was thrilled and giddy every time he was in the store. On aisle 8, the tea section, he finally asked me out! A coffee date at Liliuokalani Park that lasted about 4 hours. The next week we went on a lunch date... Then came our epic third date that really kicked off this relationship! Joseph cooked me an amazing four course meal with paired wine, bought new dishes and a cozy blanket to keep me warm on the ocean front lanai. It was lovely and as romantic as could be. And it took place right where we will host you at our wedding! That date turned into a four night sleepover and we've been together ever since! We have built a home together, worked side by side for years, created a couple small businesses, loved our little fur babies Liko & Tuesday, bought a home, moved across the ocean (twice), and most importantly - had the most amazing son ever. Together! Our journey has been spontaneous, joyful, super silly, and so loving! Marriage will be all this and soooo much more!!! Wooooohoooooo! p.s. He got a local goodie ;)
