It all began when Jordan moved to Fenton and started working out at Club Fitness. Zoe noticed him right away and that was followed by months of exchanged glances and sneaking a look to see what the other was up to. One day our at the time roommate Travis walked up to Zoe to recruit her for their volleyball team and Jordan bolted for the men's locker room. After multiple times of Jordan literally running for the hills Zoe thought she didn't have a shot until one day she turned around to figure out who pulled on her gym backpack only to find Jordan standing there with a grin on his face.
We took a trip to Jamaica to celebrate Zoe's graduation and we were stoked to have such a good turnout. Every day of the trip was filled with sand volleyball, the beach and pool, jerk chicken, good drinks and great company. Leading up to the proposal Zoe had an allergic reaction, not severe, but Jordan made her get medicine from the on-site doctor as he knew she would want to look good for the proposal. In the days following there were multiple breakfasts and pre-dinner drinks that he would vanish to "go to the bathroom" and "take a call" to talk to the photographer instead. Day of the proposal, it was storming and Jordan's phone was not working for him to be able to see when/if the rain would stop or not. He was freaking out and Zoe kept telling him it's ok and the family pictures would still turn out good. We went to the lobby bar for a drink which had become our pre-dinner spot. That night though, we decided to only have one drink and take a walk on the beach rain or shine. Jordan had made sure that Zoe was ok with getting soaked for the walk and she didn't mind. While we walked it continued to pour and our group made their way outside (most didn't know what was coming). When we got to the end of the walk the rain had pretty much stopped, Jordan took Zoe's hands and started his speech, followed by getting down on one knee and asking the question with the easiest answer. There were lots of pictures, celebratory drinks and dinner to follow to kick off our forever! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Sullivan!
