The Wedding Website of Jessica Nelson and Zoë Whorrall
Meet the people that we call our family.

Marilupe Moreno-Juarez

Officiant

We are so honored to have Lupe officiate our wedding. It only makes sense that she would be the one to marry us, when she had a large part in getting us together and even coordinating our engagement in secret! She is an amazing and loyal friend, a sorority sister to us, and badass mom to our intelligent and brave sobrina and flower child, Meztli!

Diana Arreguin

Maid of Honor

Jess' maid of honor, best friend since sophomore year in high school, college roommate, and sorority sister. When the two first met, they were basically frenemies, but grew to truly love each other. By the end of senior year of high school, they both decided to go to Marquette University and be roommates- everyone told them they would kill each other. Miraculously, they only grew to become sisters for life, hermanas por vida.

Shaquerra Blackwell

Bridesmaid

Querra has been one of Jess' best friends since 7th grade. They can usually be found recalling funny stories from their adolescence and planning trips to travel the world together. Querra is a free spirit with a heart of gold who loves unconditionally.

Meztli Garcia Moreno

Flower Child

We are so lucky to call this courageous and sweet child our niece! She is full of spunk and sass, and you can catch her cat walking down the aisle with a flower basket in hand!

James Nelson

Father of the Bride

Jess' father, who raised her and her brother as a single parent for most of their lives. He is a hard worker who always puts his kids first. He, along with Jess' brother, will be walking her down the aisle.

Nicholas Nelson

Brother of the Bride

Jess' younger brother, Nicky, has always been a pain in her side who she loves fiercely and unconditionally. He will accompany their father in walking Jess down the aise.

Sadie Carpenter

Matron of Honor

Sadie and Zoë met in 3rd grade, when Zoë transferred to Prairie Hill Waldorf School. The pair originally butted heads, but the pair grew to recognize each other as sisters in no time. Sadie and Zoë grew up enjoying summers together on Wisconsin Lakes, sharing their love of singing, and choreographing dances to their favorite 90s pop hits. These two have gone from living 4000 miles apart to only a few blocks away from one another, but their friendship has remained strong through it all.

Kaya Schwarz

Bridesmaid

Zoë met Kaya moments after her birth in their family home in Grafton, Wisconsin. As children, the sisters were always close, making goofy songs, dances, and videos throughout their childhood. They have always enjoyed laughing together, and Zoë particularly recalls multiple moments where they laughed until they cried and or peed their pants. Zoë and Kaya have bonded over their passion for music and singing, animals, and social justice issues.

Robin Block

Mother of the Bride

Robin birthed Zoë in Port Orchard, Washington in 1991 in Zoë's grandmother's basement. Since that time, she has been a constant support in Zoë's life, offering guidance in many aspects of life, and being a mentor to Zoë as they both work through their chosen careers in areas that help serve and support the community.

Florian Carpenter

Ring Bearer

Florian is the soon to be one year old son of Sadie & Brenden Carpenter, close, long-time friends of the lovely couple.
