The Gardens on Spring Creek
Nature Trail - family friendly! This is a beautiful open space garden with plenty of plants and wildlife to see. You also get a great view of the mountains!
Bread Fellow
Coffee/Bakery/Lunch Owned by the same family as bindle, this coffee shop/bakery has a full breakfast and lunch menu. It is right in the middle of downtown! Great food, great coffee, and cute place to hangout, indoors or outside.
Horsetooth Falls Trail
Moderate Hike This is a moderate hike at the base of Horsetooth with a beautiful shaded waterfall at the end. If you are not used to the altitude, please be cautious and bring a lot of water! There are some very steep sections that do not have any shade.
Horsetooth Rock Trail
Hard Hike This is a hard hike. It is the hike to get to the top of Horsetooth mountain, the mountain that FOCO is known for! At the top, you get a full view of the city, and views of the fourteeners.
Horsetooth Reservoir
Swimming/Water Activities - family friendly! Horsetooth reservoir is a beautiful lake tucked just behind the foothills, and right beneath Horsetooth mountain. You can rent paddleboards and kayaks right on the shore, or go to the beach just to swim!
Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant
Mexican Restaurant This is one of our favorite restaurants. It's where our engagement party was held! They are known for their margaritas, Zoe's favorite is the frozen strawberry, and Jaycob's favorite is the Spicy Jalapeno.
Estes Park
Day Trip in the Mountains Estes Park houses the summer camp where Jaycob and Zoe met! If you have a day to spare, Estes is the perfect place for a day trip. Only about an hour from FOCO, you'll get a beautiful scenic drive on the way there. There are plenty of gift shops and restaurants to check out, but if you'd like to take a nature walk, we recommend Lily Lake.
Old Town
Restaurants/Shopping Old Town is full of restaurants, shops, bakeries, cocktail bars, and usually live music on summer weekend nights. Our downtown area has a great variety of things to do at any hour of the day or night!
3 Margaritas Fort Collins
Mexican Restaurant This is where Zoe and Jaycob had their first date! The Jenkins family is well known at this establishment (they eat here at least once a week).
High Point Bar
College bar/darts/SKEECH This is a college bar where the greatest game ever created lies. The game is called: Skeech.
Social
Cocktail Lounge - adults only This speakeasy cocktail lounge is the perfect place to grab a nightcap! Zoe loves their espresso martinis.
The Whisk(e)y
Cocktails/appetizers This fun cocktail bar has hosted many dates for Zoe and Jaycob. They have delicious appetizers, and yummy cocktails (for a great price)! Known for their whiskey selection. Zoe's favorite drink is the Pear Necessities. Jaycob's favorite drink is their Spicy Moscow Mule.
Fort Collins Museum of Discovery
Children's Science Museum - Family Friendly! This discovery museum is full of fun, interactive exhibits for all ages!
Sweet Heart Winery & Event Center
Wine/Nature This winery makes all their own wine and cider in house! They have a very beautiful property with seating areas right beside the rushing Poudre River.
JAWS sushi
Sushi Restaurant Very delicious sushi and appetizers. Zoe's favorite roll is the ATF. Family favorite is the Colorado Crunch
Snooze, an A.M. Eatery
Breakfast Zoe and Jaycob's favorite breakfast spot. We always share the breakfast burrito and the cinnamon roll pancakes.
Poudre River Whitewater Park
Nature/Splash pad - family friendly! This is a fun little nature area on the river where you can dip your toes into the fresh mountain water, or watch the people float by in their rafts.
