I first met Wilinka in grade 7 when my sisters introduced us. Like with Mona, our relationship was rocky because I was a teenager and didn't like anyone. After going to high school, we became a lot closer and can confide anything in each other. She is like a sister to me

Ziaan is my other friend from school. You know that guy who selflessly braais everyone's meat at the braai? That's Ziaan, which just shows what a kind guy (and great braaier) he is (he even made pap at his own bachelor's). We became friends as we could easily share a laugh, or I could learn something new from him during band practise

Sharleen is the eldest of my twin little sisters. I first met her shortly after she evacuated herself out of our mother and adored her. That is until she began playing with my toys and then it became like quite the typical sisterhood, and I couldn't imagine having anyone else as a sister. Except our other sister of course

Christo is a former colleague from my days as a bartender. During that short stint as a bartender, Christo and I quickly became friends, embarking on a road trip to Potch and having chats of any kind over a brandewyn. Christo played a big role in my meeting Zoë, so in a way, we have him to thank for this wedding

Like Sharleen, I met Claudia not too long after she was given an eviction notice from our mother's womb. She also played with my toys and so the rivalry began. We had a very strained relationship as kids but when we both moved out of the house I realised, hey, she's actually not so bad. We grew a lot closer and share a lot with each other

I met Mareli when lockdown first began all those many moons ago when I first started dating the man now responsible for this union, her brother. Mareli has always been supportive of our relationship. I can't wait to officially be part of her family and be the sister she has always wanted

Christiaan is my brother from another mother, having become my brother after he married my sister (Mareli) in September 2025. Despite not having known him a very long time, he quickly became a part of the family long before he even married Mareli (especially as he's always keen on a game of padel)
