Our wedding adventure begins

Jamie and Zoë went to secondary school together, they became friends first, bonding over tuna salads and mutual friends :)

Zoë stayed in Limerick to become a teacher while Jamie set off to Dublin to attend Trinity College Dublin. We spent years traveling back and forth, with lots of train station Sunday goodbyes that usually ended in tears, takeaway pizza and the early Monday morning train instead!!🥲🍕

Post-college, Zoë moved to Dublin to teach while Jamie continued working his way up at Madison Publications (where he’s now running the show!). He used to take the train and two buses just to see her in Lucan and she'd drive him to the bus stop each morning before school. ❤️

We both dreamed of living abroad, just in different places. Zoë moved to Abu Dhabi to teach, and Jamie set off to Valencia with his best friend Donal. We lasted a few months apart… barely....

Jamie came to visit Zoë in Abu Dhabi after Christmas, supposedly just for a few weeks. He never left!! Since then, we’ve built a full life together in the desert, apartment of dreams, sunny walks every day and countless PF Changs, Pinkberrys and Tim Hortons later. 🌆

In October 2023, we launched FWDstart: our newsletter all about MENA startups and venture capital. It’s still part-time (for now), but we’ve loved (and killed each other several times lol) building it side-by-side.

Almost 10 years after it all began, Jamie proposed in the Maldives. Ocean breeze, glowing sky, and a very excited Zoë!! Safe to say, she said yes! 🐚

Travel is a huge part of our relationship. From Bali to Oman, Thailand to Japan: we love exploring the world together, and Abu Dhabi makes it all so accessible. Next up? Our wedding in Spain! 🎒🌍

In July 2025, we spent a few dreamy weeks in Barcelona (with Zoë’s sister Anna!) and fell in love with Sitges — a beautiful coastal town just outside the city. That’s why, in July 2026, we’ll be saying “I do” at Casa Felix with all of you - our faves! 🌸🏰
