May is a busy graduation season in WW. But there are plenty of great Air BnB's and hotels.

Walla Walla Airport: 5-minute drive from downtown, 45 min flights FROM Seattle ONLY and ONLY 2-3 times a day depending on the season.

By car: 3.5-5 hour drive from either Portland or Seattle. If you are renting a car anyway, this option might suit you.
If booked in the next couple of months, the bumper flights to Walla Walla are as low as $69 they climb up to $230 round trip closer to the date.
