Flight
Denver International airport is the closest airport to Boulder and a ~45-minute bus ride or drive away. To get to Boulder, you can take advantage of the RTD bus (most affordable option), or schedule a ride share as Uber and Lyft is easily accessible from DIA. There are also many car rental options from the airport, along with Turo - a car rental alternative to rent through local hosts (think Airbnb for cars). We advise getting an EZ Pass for tolls as some highways are toll only and the express lanes can come in handy during rush hour traffic times. For anyone extending their stay to go to the mountains, EZ pass will be a game-changer with the famed I-70 traffic.
Travel Note
RTD is Denver's public transit system that offers trains and buses that can also get you between DIA, Denver, and Boulder. The A-Line is the airport train that runs between Union Station in downtown Denver and the airport. The all-day fare is $10.50 when going between the airport. To easily get to Boulder via bus, the AB1 bus from DIA to Boulder offers a nice ride on a coach bus with drop-off at the Downtown Boulder Station.
