Like a lot of relationships in the 21st century… we met online! Through mutual friends we followed each other on social media and Chasten made it clear through his persistent engagement on Zoe’s posts that he liked her. However, Zoe made the first move through a DM on Twitter… and the rest was history!

Memorial Day weekend of 2021, Chasten and Zoe took a trip with their good friends Justin and Shelby, to visit their friend Tanner who lives in Nashville, Tennessee. What Zoe thought was just long-weekend trip in the music city, turned out to be much more! On Saturday morning, they woke up and headed to brunch downtown. Tanner suggested they should all go to the walking bridge after brunch because they were really close to it. When the group stopped to take photos on the bridge, Chasten got down on one knee (as Zoe fixed her hair for a photo lol). Chasten surprised Zoe with both of their families and friends (who Zoe thought couldn’t come!) They spent the entire weekend celebrating together!
