Over the past 10 years of bike trips together in the San Juan Islands we have become really fond of many places on Orcas Island. Here are some of our favorite spots if you are looking for recommendations:

Things To Do

Incredible views of the Salish Sea archipelago and a historic lookout tower at the top built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.

Mount Constitution Lookout

Stop by from 10am-2pm on Saturday for a wonderful selection of local food and wares.

Orcas Island Farmer's Market

Scenic 2 mile loop trail to a quiet cove through a lovely coastal forest. We love camping here on our bike trips.

Obstruction Pass St Park Hike

Ben asked me to marry him here as we watched the sunset. We love eating at the restaurant and soaking in their hot pools if you can get reservations.

Doe Bay Resort & Retreat

Camp Moran is situated on this lake with easy access to the loop trail. Enjoy a swim, paddle or hike around the lake. There is a cliff jumping spot part way around the lake by the bridge.

Cascade Lake

1 mile hike to a beautiful waterfall. There are multiple ways to hike here - the trailhead off Mount Constitution Road is the most straightforward and accesses a few other waterfalls and trails.

Enjoy a session at the world renowned Orcas Island Skatepark!

Cooperative of potters selling their pieces on a beautiful property with a treehouse to explore.

Great fresh seafood right next to their shellfish farm.

Cute new cafe and grocer if you want to grab something quick.
