So many people didn’t expect this—and honestly, neither did I. For those who don’t know, Aydan and I both went to Palmer Ridge High School in Monument, Colorado. We lived less than a mile apart. We met when he was a sophomore and I was a junior, running in the same circles and sharing mutual friends. We even had classes together, but it just wasn’t our time yet. Looking back, it all feels like fate. Aydan and his family lived in St. Thomas while my family and I were in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Later, we were both in Pennsylvania—just minutes apart—and still, somehow, we never crossed paths. Life kept placing us close, but never quite together. Then everything changed. I moved to North Carolina in May of 2025, and Aydan followed that October. It finally felt like God was saying, “Now it’s time.” Even living an hour and a half away from Charlotte, we still found each other. And from our very first date, I just knew—he was the one.
