COVID-19 Safety

Our ceremony and reception will be outdoors in a tent in the backyard of the Adelphi Hotel. Masks are welcome and will be provided for all attendees. With the rise of COVID-19 cases due to the Delta variant, we feel that it is absolutely crucial that our wedding is a safe place for all guests, including our at-risk family members. We will be requiring that our guests over the age of 12 be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to our wedding date of September 26. If vaccination is not a possibility, we are requiring a negative PCR* test within 3 days prior to the event followed by a quarantine, and for masks to be worn at all indoor events. This includes children under 12 years old. One convenient option is a PCR test at Well Now Urgent Care in Saratoga (https://wellnow.com/locations/saratoga-springs), which returns results within one day.

Our Wedding Plans

Third time's the charm!

Thank you all so much for your patience as we navigate planning a safe wedding under the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic. As you all know, we are on to date #3 and this one feels right. Because we just could not wait any longer, we were legally married in our backyard in St. Louis on May 30, 2021 surrounded by our immediate family. We still want to dance the night away with our you all. We are planning to have our religious ceremony (with not one but two amazing Rabbis) in September 2021. Our welcome drinks, ceremony, reception, and farewell breakfast plans will look very similar to our original 2020 plan. We cannot wait to see you there!

How We Met

Besides the friend that brought him, Evan didn't know anyone at the party he was walking into when Zoë opened the door for them. Zoë and her roommates would throw parties all the time back then, all of which had some sort of activity. The activities that night included a shower photo booth, glitter tattoos, and a floor-is-lava game. The connection was immediate and Evan turned to the friend who brought him to the party and asked "Pat, who is that?" "Oh, that's Zoë, she's awesome, sorry I didn't tell you about her," Pat replied. Zoë and Evan spent the entire night together as she ushered him through the various activities and talked about everything. Zoë gave Evan a heart shaped glitter tattoo, a very subtle sign, which Evan rightfully read into. She also gifted him a very early version of a Valentine's Day Greetabl, which was later used as a clue in their proposal! After a few months of nervously asking their groups of friends to get together for dancing, amateur wrestling viewings, and art shows, Evan and Zoë went on their first official date to The Royale in South City St. Louis. Months later, they jumped out of a plane together and said I Love You first the first time in Tower Grove Park, the spot where they would eventually get engaged!
