Located right at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Get to know this 4.8-mile out-and-back trail near Sandy, Utah. On the top there is a gorgeous waterfall. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. It's been a family favorite for generations. It has blown up in popularity, but is still quiet mornings and weekdays. If the Waterfall is too far, there is a lovely watershed that is a mile hike and less than an hour to reach. That may be more beginner friendly. Park at the new upper parking lot for a short-cut
Still want a waterfall experience but looking for an easier hike? Check out Rocky Mouth Waterfall Hike. The worse part is getting to the trailhead through the neighborhood. Park in the small parking lot on the road and walk up the wooden steps. This will take you to the private neighborhood. Walk up to road to the trailhead. Then it's a short straight shot to a gorgeous waterfall/cave experience!

Yummy, hot or cold sandwiches! I have loved this place since I was a girl and is the definition of a hole-in-the wall. While sitting inside might not be the best fine dining experience, I would recommend packing it to go and eating it nearby at Big Bear Park.
