Due to venue capacity, we kindly request that each guest bring only one additional person. People from our church, we ask for no additional guests.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

For the Cameroonian ceremony, street parking is available and close to the house. There is on-site parking at the church.

Is there assigned seating at the church wedding?

The first row is reserved for family, but no seats are assigned.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Unfortunately no. Uber or Lyft are great options if you don't want to drive.

What is a Cameroonian traditional wedding

Answer

Its deeply cultural ceremony where the groom’s family formally seeks the bride’s hand in marriage from her family. It is considered the most important stage of marriage, often even more significant than the church or civil wedding, because it officially unites the two families. The bride offers her a groom a drink which shows she has chosen him. When he drinks, it seals their union( Similar to kissing the bride). There will be music, plenty of food and lots of socializing!

Of course! The reception will be held at a restaurant following the church ceremony, so please plan accordingly.

Can I drink at the church ceremony?

There will be no alcohol at the church ceremony. There will be a cash bar at the venue if you choose to drink.

No, but since the ceremony is not long, you may miss it.
