Let's get you to the Big Apple!

It means the world to us that you are traveling from near & far to celebrate our big day! The information below is tailored to the proximity of our venue, Docks Oyster Bar. However, there are many hotels nearby, including the hotels that we are blocking rooms at, where similar directions will apply! We have hotel blocks at The Westin Grand Central as well as The Renwick. Both hotels are located within a few blocks of the reception. Please use the links in the below to make your reservations at the hotel of your preference. If there are no more rooms available in either hotel block, please let either of us know and we will see what we can do to best accommodate! Please call the hotel directly if you need a early check in! Docks Oyster Bar is located East 40th Street and 3rd Avenue, which is close to both NYC train stations (Penn and Grand Central)!

The Westin New York Grand Central

The Westin Grand Central is only a few blocks away from Docks and about a 15 minute walk to the church! Please note that while booking the rooms, the fee will include the destination fee however this will be waived when you check out at the hotel. If you need early check in, please call the hotel directly. You can reserve for 1 or 2 nights with the hotel block. Please let us know if the room blocks are full and we will do the best we can to get more rooms added! P.S. We will be staying here :)

The Renwick

We also have a room block at the Renwick! Very cute rooms and a little more NYC Chic! The Renwick is very close to Docks as well and about a 15 minute walk to the church. The Renwick has a bar / restaurant attached to the hotel. There is a parking garage across the street as well! Please let us know if the room block is full and we will do our best to get more rooms added!

Grand Central Terminal

If you are coming from the New York or Connecticut area, taking the Metro North Train into the city is a great option! Once you've arrived at Grand Central, Docks is about an 8 minute drive or about 5 minute walk! (That's NYC for ya! Walking is faster than driving...)

Penn Station - NJ Transit, LIRR or Amtrak

The NJ Transit Trains and LIRR are also easy options! This will bring you right to Penn Station. From Penn Station, Docks is about a 15 minute drive and a 25 minute walk. The subway is also an option and is about 15 minutes!

Flight

LaGuardia Airport (LGA) or John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK)

LGA and JFK airports are the closest options to NYC. From either airport you can Uber/Taxi to your hotel or take the subway. From JFK: It is about a 40 minute drive to Docks. If you prefer to take the subway, you would follow the signs to the AirTrain and take it to Jamaica Station. From Jamaica Station, you would board the E train (downtown) and get off at Lexington Av/53 St station. From there you can walk or take the 6 train to Grand Central! From LGA: It is about a 25-30 minute drive to Docks. The subway can get a little confusing, so our recommendation would be to take an Uber or Taxi.
