Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH hosts an annual 80's Day party where people near and far come dressed to impress in their most retro jeans and brightest scrunchies to celebrate an era most of the attendees weren't even alive for! The day is filled with anticipation for the 5 star 80's cover band, Rubix Cube, who closes the day with a concert at the base lodge. Well, nothing like multiple different wigs, leather pants, and a 'Sweet Child of Mine' cover to spark love in the air. Hannah was bopping her head and singing along to some classics with two of her best pals - Maggie & Nichole - when suddenly a friendly looking trio showed up beside them. Caitlyn (Andrew's sister), sparked conversation with Nichole about their mutual love of the Portsmouth, NH-based brand that Nichole was wearing. Kevin (Caitlyn's boyfriend at the time and now husband) was really into the music, as was Maggie. Which gave Andrew the perfect moment to swoop in and spark up conversation with Hannah. A screaming crowd of 80's wannabes and an Axl Rose impersonator made it a bit tough to hold conversation, but Andrew and Hannah found themselves talking through the whole second half of the show. Before leaving, Andrew asked for Hannah's number, waited until the next afternoon to reach out, and then shot out a 'Heyyy its Andrew, how was the rest of your night?'. About two weeks later they had their first date and have been together ever since!
