I met Johanna on the first day of summer practice for high school volleyball. I was new to town and didn't know anyone so I awkwardly went up to her and asked her to warm up with me. Luckily she's just as awkward as I am and we became best friends in virtually no time. Now, I can't imagine my special day without her standing by my side—just like she did on the first day of practice all those years ago.
