We started dated in February 2020, amidst the uncertainty at the start of Covid. Though the pandemic altered our plans, we sought comfort in constants, like the Boston Public Library—a space that carries a subtle romance and steadiness. Wanting to add lightness to a heavy time, we created a simple but meaningful game: one of us would close our eyes while the other guided them quietly through the shelves, choosing a genre they thought the other would enjoy. With eyes still closed, we’d pick a random book, then spend time reading it together. It wasn’t just a fun way to connect—it became the foundation of our relationship. Now, five years later, reading remains at the heart of our relationship. On weekends, you’ll find us in libraries and coffee shops, taking turns choosing the book we’ll read together—Zeke speeding ahead until the plot thickens, where Milo inevitably surpass him. While being chosen for a ceremony at the BPL has moved our wedding date up - it feels meant to be. It’s where our relationship began, where our love for stories and each other deepened, and where we continue to grow as individuals and as partners.
