Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is summer cocktail attire: for example, summery cocktail dresses or suits with tie optional. The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting), and the reception will be mostly indoors with outdoor spaces. In late July, it will likely be fairly hot and humid, so we recommend wearing light, breathable clothing to stay comfortable. We will provide hand fans on site!

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend that our guests arrive 15 mins before the ceremony starts, so you can get settled before it all kicks off! The ceremony will begin at 5pm.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We've worked hard to invite as many of our guests' significant others' as possible - unfortunately due to space constraints, we're limited on how many people we can include at our event. We respectfully ask that you don't bring a date unless they are invited.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! Parking is provided for free at our venue.

Will it be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors (weather permitting), and the cocktail hour and reception will both take place indoors with outdoor spaces available. In late July, the weather will likely be fairly hot and humid. We encourage you to wear breathable clothes to stay comfortable in the heat. We will provide hand fans on site!

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

The Mill at Fine Creek is located at 2425 Robert E Lee Rd, Powhatan, VA, 23139. Please let us know if you live or are staying off-site, we'd love to help with your transportation plans!

Will there be food? What about an open bar?

Answer

Yes, and yes! We'll have a cocktail hour after the ceremony with appetizer, a buffet dinner to follow, and treats along the way!

What if I have food allergies or dietary preferences?

Answer

Please let us know about any food allergies or dietary preferences when you RSVP (once invitations are sent), and we will accommodate!

Is there anything I should do as a precaution against COVID-19?

Answer

We would be so grateful if our guests would consider taking a COVID test before attending, as there will be several high-risk and immunocompromised people in attendance.

Are kids able to attend?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to safety restrictions, our venue is unable to accommodate children during our event.
