Bryant Park Winter Village
We love going to the Bryant Park Winter Village every year. It has so many of NYCs best foods in one spot and fun holiday shopping for tchotchkes! Our fifth date was ice skating here and our first picture (above) was taken here. It's a quick train ride away on the 7 train from Queensboro Plaza to 5th Avenue or the F train from Queensbridge to 5th Avenue Bryant Park. You can also take a 20 minute taxi or uber over to Bryant Park.
The Gutter Bar LIC
No surprise to Jordan's friends and family, the Gutter is a favorite spot of ours. It's a great retro style bowling alley where Jordan wishes he could spend more time (and money). This is where Sydney threw Jordan's surprise 30th party. It's less than a 15 minute walk away from the Ravel Hotel.
CityPickle Long Island City
Another Jordan favorite-City Pickle Long Island City. City Pickle is a great indoor spot to play pickleball and is less than a ten minute walk from Ravel Hotel.
Pepsi-Cola Sign
Take some time to walk along the boardwalk on the East River with incredible views of Manhattan. Walk along Gantry State Park to experience LIC the way we do each and every day! The week before Jordan proposed, he took Jesse, our dog nephew, to different places along the boardwalk to decide where he was going to pop the question.
American Brass
American Brass is an LIC staple for us. We've come here for our first date as roommates (pictured above), to celebrate new jobs, and is a great go-to date night. We also celebrated our engagement with our families here! American Brass is a mile away from Ravel, easily accessible by foot or by car.
Central Park
We love spending time in Central Park. From playing games, walking the Central Park Mall, and walking through during each season to see the changes. The typical peak for fall foliage is mid-to-late November.
Broadway Theatre
We would never recommend going to Times Square usually...but we are big Broadway fans. If you have time to check out a show we definitely recommend this. The first year we were dating we went to eight shows together.
