Activities woohoo! Williamsburg is probably best known for being featured in the show Girls (although it's a lot bougier now then when the show came out). (EDIT: Diana informs me that Girls takes place mostly in Greenpoint, the neighboring neighborhood to the north) It was also SUPPOSEDLY where Dan Humphrey lived in Gossip Girl, although the exterior shot of his dad's fancy loft apartment is unmistakably Dumbo (the neighborhood under the Manhattan bridge) There is so much to check out in this neighborhood, there's a ton of wonderful bars, restaurants, and shopping. Be sure to check out the various consignment shops and flea markets!

Domino Park

Waterfront park under the Williamsburg bridge with a view of Manhattan. The park is named after the inactive Domino Sugar Refinery, which is still standing today. If you turn 180 degrees from the coast, you can see the refinery, as well an array of eyesore luxury high rise apartment buildings
