Austin and I matched on Tinder in early June, and from there we started talking non-stop. We talked about how much of a breakfast connoisseur he was, and how he was willing to prove it. Port Washington was where we went for our first date. We saw the fireworks at Fish Days, and made plans to get together again soon. After that evening all we did was talk, text, and make plans to get together again. We went on so many different adventures, and still do.
Austin and I knew very early on that this was real, and that we were soul mates. On a drive home from one our crazy adventures is when we realized that this was it, that we were meant for each other. He looked me in the eye and said, "I will marry you someday". From then on we were inseparable
It was midnight on December 24th, when Austin proposed. It happened after a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with the Zera family. We came home and were standing by the tree when Austin got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. I said "yes " of course.
The night before Austin was to go away for a trip to Colorado we hatched an idea. We had been waiting for the right time to start planning a wedding, the pandemic had made it pretty difficult to plan. So we hatched the idea to just go ahead and do it when we went down to Texas in the coming October. And so we began planning.
It was on October 24th, 2022 that we said, "I do". It was a beautiful day with a little bit of rain which I've heard is supposed to be sign of good luck.
