we're getting married!

We met during our junior year at Ithaca College in 2016, thanks to a little twist of fate (and some lucky apartment assignments), we ended up living right next door to each other. What started as sidewalk hellos quickly turned into late-night hangouts, Kevin scoring rides to campus in Amanda's car, and eventually, Amanda hiring Kevin to join the school newspaper sales team (he made zero sales, but clearly made an impression). As our relationship grew, we started noticing tiny connections from earlier years — missed moments and shared spaces during freshman and sophomore year that now feel like little breadcrumbs leading us to each other. We like to think the universe had us tied together all along (string theory). Before we even started dating, we were both accepted into the Los Angeles semester, completely unaware of each other’s plans. We made things official just before heading to California, and our “honeymoon phase” was full of sunshine, palm trees, and adventure with our friends. Over the next several years, our adventures only continued. We discovered our families lived just 30 minutes apart, explored new cities and countries together, and leaned into our shared passions for staying active, eating well, and indulging in ice cream — every night (thanks, Kevin). We’ve visited countless zoos, navigated living in NYC as fresh grad students, and somehow even survived working at the same company while moving in together for the first time. In November 2024, while on a family trip to Hong Kong and Tokyo, Kevin proposed during sunset at West Kowloon Art Park in Hong Kong, a perfect waterfront moment after nearly eight years of love and laughter. Now we’re beyond excited to start the next chapter in a brand-new city for both of us: Barcelona! We can’t wait to share this unforgettable adventure and celebration with all of you.
