Jessica and Devin met in March of 2019 through a mutual friend named Gino who currently works with Devin and used to bartend with Jessica at Blush. One night, Gino came into Jessica's old work for a drink. She was telling him how single she was when Gino suddenly had a brilliant idea! He said, "Jess, I have a guy for you!". While Jessica was very hesitant, she made Gino show her Devin's Facebook page. When she saw his profile picture she thought to herself, well, he's kind of cute. Gino then asked Jessica if he could give Devin her number. While Jessica was still reluctant, she said "Okay, why not." With no time to waste, Devin quickly text her the next day. After texting back and forth for a few weeks, Devin asked Jessica out on a date. Jessica agreed but before driving 45 minutes to San Ramon for their first date at Rubino Winery in Livermore, she decided to bring Devin a Philz coffee with a heart drawn on the top to the police station so they could officially meet in person. When Devin walked to her car, his pretty green eyes and of course the police uniform made Jessica so nervous she felt like she was going to faint. After a nervous but exciting conversation, Jessica left and immediately called her best friends. The first thing she said to them when they asked how it went was "I think I love the cop...". After a great first date, they quickly planned their second date to the Giants game the next weekend. On the third date at The Grand View restaurant, Devin asked Jessica to be his girlfriend. Okay, Jessica technically didn't say no but she didn't say yes either (oops!). Although, she was nervous to jump into a relationship she knew from the beginning that Devin was the one. Devin took her answer like a champ and said, "When you're ready you can ask me to be your boyfriend". That was on April 19th, 2019. Exactly one week later on April 26th, Jessica and Devin said I love you to one another while Jessica was away at the Stagecoach country festival. As soon as she got back from her trip she redeemed herself by surprising Devin with a Philz coffee. Written on the top read "Will you be my boyfriend?" with a heart drawn on the top. Devin said yes and the rest is history! A year later a week after the pandemic hit in March 2020, Jessica moved into Devin's apartment in San Ramon. The following year they purchased their first home together in May of 2021 and on June 18th, 2022, Devin proposed to her at the beach in Monterey, CA.
