We're Getting Married

Where it all began… We met at Great America in the summer '97 through mutual friends. At the time, there was no way I would pictured us here more than 20-years later. Mainly because he annoyed me by stealing my food and making fun of me. I would match him by making fun of his height. That point forward, our friendship was established. We would stay in touch through the years, being solid friends, to help each other through the trials of life. As time passed, our friendship grew stronger. Naturally, our annoying banter became more flirtatious; there something deeper grew. Of course being afraid of what this meant and the impact our friendship, we agreed to not risk our friendship. This didn't last… the depth of our connection more than anyone would understand. Through our deep and meaningful friendship – we formed a deep and profound love for one another. Then came…. The Proposal…. Anyone who knows me, knows family is everything to me. And, Pierce knew how important it was to have my family’s blessing, starting with Marisa. Pierce, being the sneaky person he is, devised a plan to get Marisa’s blessing and then family's. On September 12, 2020, Marisa and I visited Pierce in Georgia. This would become a pivotal point in our journey as a couple, and as an insta-family. On this day that Pierce took us to visit a beautiful park with a historic tree known to be more than 300-years old – the Majestic Oak Tree. It was there where Pierce got on one knee and where we took the plunge together. Of course…. I said YES!!!!!! So now…. It is surreal to be at this point in our lives. To be in love and unified by the strength of our friendship & the support of our families. We have been blessed in life, many times over – this is such a meaningful time for us.
