We’re getting married!

We are proof that when you least expect it, love shows up out of nowhere. We were both living just minutes apart. He was in DeSoto and me in Grand Prairie. And as fate would have it, our paths crossed in a peculiar way. Long story short, we met on social media around August 2018. We quickly learned we had a lot in common. One major commonality was that we were two single parents raising sons. Jason has three sons and I have two. From what I could tell, based on his posts, he could offer me great advice on how to raise productive and successful black sons in today’s America, not to mention he was fine too. My children’s father had recently passed in an untimely motorcycle accident and Jason was able to offer some great advice on how to stay positive and strong, while continuing to provide the stability my sons would need going foward. Jason brought a fresh, male perspective that I so desperately needed. Our conversations started out on social media, but eventually led to us meeting in person in a public place over dinner and margaritas. As our relationship developed, we both discovered that we were both fanatic about being healthy and working out. We shared many hopes, dreams, and goals at the gym after a great workout during our recovery/wind down time in the Jacuzzi. I knew we were a match when I found out he was a man of God and a Cowboys fan! Now that’s a win win. Once we became exclusive, the rest is history! Went to Vegas for some much needed R&R. Thought about eloping in Vegas. Instead, when we got back, he proposed to me. We decided to share this union with a select few family and friends and we can’t wait to share our love with our village on December 29th, 2019.
