The most iconic building in the Seattle skyline! You can go up to the saucer and get the best views of the city and surrounding mountains or stay on the ground and take in the architecture of this building. Whichever you choose, make sure you grab buttery corn on the cob from the stand outside the entrance.
One of the locations for our engagement photos. Buzzing with local art, fresh food, beautiful flower bouquets, and local history. You will find the first Starbucks ever opened here and the iconic (and equally gross!) gum wall. A monorail links the Space Needle and Pike Place Market.
A place we love to take visiting family/friends for local fish and chips and to feed the perched, friendly seagulls! It is located on the Seattle boardwalk, which is a short walk from Pike Place Market, and close to the Seattle Aquarium and Seattle Great Wheel. Warning: the walk from Pike Place Market to the boardwalk requires a lot of stairs.
We caught the sunset here for our engagement photos! Discovery Park offers a 2.8 mile Loop trail that includes open fields, a beach with a light house, and extensive views. You can do the trail for a little taste of a Washington hike or drive straight to the light house.
One of the locations for our engagement photos and another Seattle landmark! This park contains remnants of the sole remaining coal gasification plant in the US (according to Wikipedia). Climb atop the large mound to see the sundial built into the summit and to take in the views of Lake Union and downtown Seattle (including the Space Needle).
The bride's favorite neighborhood in Seattle. Fremont makes the large city feel small and it's so unique! There's artwork everywhere including the Fremont Troll, a rocket ship, and the Fremont dinosaurs. Her favorite places for food are Pel Meni Dumpling Tzar, Cafe Turko, and Fainting Goat Gelato. For locally made chocolate, visit Theo Chocolate for their unique flavors and endless free samples. We like to hit all our favorite spots in a loop, ending with the Burke-Gilman trail taking us back to our starting point, the Fremont Draw Bridge.
This is the first place Zena showed Rami on his first visit to Washington and where Rami helped Zena fine tune her rock-skipping skills. You can take your car down and park close to the beach or stay up top and enjoy panoramic views from the lawn.
Yes, another park in the list to take in the awesome views! Rami spent a lot of time here when he first moved to Washington and Zena's family used to come here a lot when they lived in Kirkland. There's a "U" shaped dock that takes you far into the water and allows you to get a better look at downtown Seattle. Rami and Zena would get an assortment of half-rolls from near by aa Sushi and take it to the park. Or you can try a local favorite, Spud Fish & Chips.
Zena took Rami here on his first visit to Washington to try crepes from Creperie de Paris. An outdoor mall to explore when the weather is nice!
A mall in downtown Bellevue with a movie theater and restaurants. This is the spot for fancy date nights!
