It was 2020, a week before the world shut down. Up in Duluth, MN, a FIRST Robotics Competition was getting ready for playoffs. 2509, the Hutchinson Tigerbots picked team 7038, the Totino-Grace Pizza Pi's as their last alliance partner. The drive coach on 2509? Noah Nadeau. The human player acting as drive coach on 7038? Lily Zemke. There's even a single picture to prove it. Unfortunately, neither of them remember each other from this. They didn't realize it until a year into their friendship when their friend Nate reminded them. Off to college! On the campus of North Dakota State University, in Fargo, ND, Lily and Noah got to know each other for real this time. Over the course of three years of volunteering and participating on the NASA Lunabotics and Robot in 3 Days teams together, and lots of classes together after they both changed their majors to Manufacturing Engineering, they became really good friends. It was even to the point where Mason was telling Lily that Noah could travel the world with her, before they were together. Lily's roommate, Brandon, was asking when they would start to date, two months before they started dating! Calvin thought they were together a whole extra weekend before they were official. Brooke was asking Calvin if he knew anything. Audrey even asked Brandon in class if Lily and Noah were together yet. Lily's mom was not surprised when she got the call with the news that Lily had a new boyfriend. If you couldn't tell, they spent a lot of time together in the months leading up to becoming a couple. They called each other almost every night over Christmas break to watch Avatar and talk about their days. Finally, on Lily's birthday, Noah kissed her and that was that. All it took was one graduation, a move to Detroit Lakes, MN, a puppy, three total new jobs, and a new house in Hawley, MN, and Lily and Noah finally got engaged. Now they're getting ready for happily ever after, and are so thankful you're here to celebrate with them!
