It all started in March of 2017 when mutual friends Casey and John Dupre visited Boston to see Business Time, their wedding band (and ours!), play at Landsdowne Pub. Heather met them for the show, and the two of them said, "We think you should meet John's friend Brendan. He just moved up from CT." At the Dupre wedding in September, Heather took Operation Meet Brendan seriously. She, a bridesmaid, made up a reason to rearrange the wedding party and be paired up with Brendan, a groomsman. She didn't think that he seemed interested in talking to her initially, but later that night on the dance floor, one of his friends said, "He likes you!" They exchanged numbers on the bus back to the hotel, Brendan saving "Heather Lavery" in his phone. As Heather's friend said, "That was a bold move. But I like that for you." After several more hours in the Chili's next to the hotel (where many of you will stay), we knew we wanted to go on a real date. We went out a few days later for trivia, and the rest is history! But, it wasn't until January that Brendan learned about the setup and Heather learned that Brendan had no idea! Photo below: our dramatic entrance to John and Casey's wedding.
