We’re getting married!

When Zac and Eli first met, it was the first day of sixth grade and as soon as you walked in the classroom you would see Eli sitting in the front row which is why Zac sat next to her. Their first full conversation (she was VERY shy) was about The All American Rejects and music in general. They definitely got along easily so They became boyfriend and girlfriend in the seventh grade after an awkward but fun sixth grade. They were off and on again until Zac had a talk with her sister one day in the tenth grade where He realized He absolutely needed Eli to be in His life. Over ten years later, here they are, getting ready to finally be married!

I proposed to Eli on January 26th, 2019. Eli and I were on a camping trip with some of our closest friends which is why I knew it would be so special to propose to her then. However, it never seemed to be the right time.. So at lunch on the 26th Eli went to the bathroom and we all talked up a plan. I was going to propose to her at the bottom of the stairs of the cabin when we got back. Once we got there Eli was up the stairs and inside before any of us could be in place for it. So I waited for her at the bottom while our friend Monica went in to get her. And as she came down I said “Eli?” And she walked right passed me so I tried getting her attention again and she turn around and said “what!?” So I got on my knee and asked her to marry me and she didn’t believe me!! She said “really?” At least three times before saying yes and crying. It wasn’t perfect but it was definitely fitting for us. And I wouldn’t change it one bit!
