On January 26th 2018, it was Davis' birthday and his thoughtful, loving parents sent him a gift to the Deloitte office. He had hoped to work from home that day but instead, begrudgingly went into the office. Zelda, who rarely made it into the office, decided on a whim to also make an appearance at the office. The two future lovebirds just happened to sit at the same table in a giant office. They introduced themselves and promptly entered into chatter. Zelda was immediately impressed not only by Davis’ confidence, poise, and sense of humor, but also by his appetite for travel and adventure. Davis was leaving the next day for a trip to Machu Picchu, and Zelda would be visiting Peru in a few months! Davis was awestruck as he laid his eyes on this “beautiful woman” for the first time. He was even more smitten as the conversation flowed effortlessly as if they “had been long lost friends reconnecting for the first time in years”. Needless to say, the pair were not very productive at work that day. The two reluctantly parted ways at the end of the day, knowing that they would see each other sometime soon. The more and more these love birds learned about each other’s interests, likes and dislikes, and personalities, the more and more the two fell in love with each other. It wasn’t long until the two were hiking mountains in north Georgia, attending family reunions in south Texas, running a half marathon, and planning their futures together. After a year and half of laughter and adventure, the two made the decision to commit the rest of their lives to loving and serving one another. Zelda and Davis are thrilled to make that commitment official and to enjoy the relational intimacy and adventure that marriage brings. We hope that you are able to celebrate this next big step with Zelda and Davis at his parent's home on May 24th, 2020.
