So, there Raheim was, minding his business and working another day as Chief Engineer at an Atlanta Marriott...In walks this recently hired, bossy, overly organized, no nonsense Front Operations Manager...Zeinab. You could sense the tension in the air; they did not like each other! LOL. Their personalities were so different, polar opposites, or so they thought. :) She was too bossy; he was too laid back. They could not find any common ground. Later, their boss would begin to pair them together for leadership projects, workshops, special events...After feeling like "work enemies", one day, Raheim extended an olive branch; Zeinab accepted. As they got to know one another, they realized that they, in fact, had many things in common - both shared a strong love for music, were dedicated to their professions, families; uniquely they were both social butterflies, but also reserved and liked solitude. They loved making money, loved good food and challenging themselves. ...and oh my goodness, they both loved to laugh! Over time, they developed a strong bond, and as the dynamic duo at work, they made many achievements. They both began to realize that they were better together and eventually decided to move their friendship to dating. Raheim confessed his feelings for Zeinab and she mirrored them. Fast forward, over 4 plus years of romance, dating, meeting each other's families, disagreements, trials and tribulations, it culminated with Raheim proposing at the Botanical Gardens (Atlanta). She said yes! So here we are - blending families, teenage daughters, adopting two rescue dogs, the purchase of our first home, and becoming husband and wife with a private civil ceremony this past January (2024), we are not only spouses, but best friends! I guess you could say opposites really do attract!
