The classic millennial love story. We met on two separate dating sites. The first in October 2015 (someone stopped messaging the other but it's OK!) and then again in January 2016. This one stuck, and we spoke online for a few days before deciding to meet up. Zeina picked a restaurant that was halfway for both of us. I arrived first, picking a seat by the door so I wouldn't miss her, not that I could have missed her. Seeing that big hair (that I had liked from the pictures) get out of the Uber, I knew that she was even better than advertised. I waved at her, she smiled and sat down, and here we are. -Clint
Clint suggested that we go to the restaurant where we first met for dinner in Chicago. Afterwards, we decided to walk up to Millennium Park and enjoy the quaint silence of that Monday night together. We talked, laughed, and walked through the empty streets as we usually do on a weekday date night, with the city skyline as our backdrop twinkling all around us. Clint pulled me into a gate, said, "I like this place," and suddenly we were enveloped by the fragrant mist of flowers and freshly cut grass in a beautifully manicured nook of Millennium Park. He walked me through the damp grass in front of a swirling iron arch and got down on one knee. I had an inkling he was planning something special, but I was still so surprised and it was one of the happiest moments of my life. -Zeina
