Will there be parking availabe at the venue?
Answer
There is limited parking available onsite at North Star Gatherings. If you intend to drive yourself, please be aware that all vehicles must be removed from the property no later than 11:30pm that evening. When you RSVP, please let us know if you will be driving to the venue and let us know if your plans change.
Question
How should I get to North Star Gatherings?
Answer
Guests are invited to take our complimentary round-trip shuttle to the venue. Hotel Indigo in Lower Downtown Denver will be the pickup and dropoff location. You do not need to be a guest at the hotel to use the shuttles. We recommend taking an Uber/Lyft to Hotel Indigo or parking your car nearby. We strongly encourage our guests to take advantage of the shuttles, especially those who plan to drink. The road leading up to the wedding venue is steep with switchbacks and is not paved.

What time will shuttles pick guests up from the hotel to leave for the venue?
Answer
Shuttles will be leaving from Hotel Indigo (LoDo Denver - 1801 Wewatta Street) for the venue by 2:30 p.m. After the ceremony and dinner, shuttles will start continuously leaving North Star Gatherings to take guests back to Hotel Indigo. Feel free to dance the night away though, and as the last shuttles will depart from the venue at 10:30 p.m.

What is the dress code?
Answer
The dress code is cocktail attire. Think fun dresses or jumpsuits for the gals, and jackets and slacks for the guys! Plan for an outdoor ceremony, and an indoor reception. The ceremony is on a deck... Ladies, we recommend leaving stilettos at home and opting for a wedge or block heel instead.

What should I expect with Colorado's elevation?
Answer
Denver sits at a "mile high" in altitude (5,280 ft). Our wedding will be held at a significantly higher altitude (8,900+ ft). Please be cognizant that some people experience altitude sickness at elevation. Some people may feel more impaired when drinking alcohol at elevation. We encourage you to drink lots of water to stay hydrated and listen to your body.

What will the weather be like?

We won't truly know until June 3rd! On average, June temperatures in Idaho Springs range from a high of ~71 and a low of ~41. Please bring a jacket as it's usually about 10 degrees cooler on the mountain compared to even downtown Idaho Springs.

Can I take pictures?
Answer
Before and after the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent during the ceremony. We've hired a professional to photograph the important moments and we'd hate to have phones blocking their ability to capture. We promise to share the ceremony photos when we get them.

How far into the mountains is the venue?
Answer
North Star Gatherings is about 10 minutes from downtown Idaho Springs and 40-45 minutes from Denver. It is surrounded by protected Forrest Service land and is off of a dirt road (with a few switchbacks).

Do I need to rent a car?
Answer
Up to you! If you are staying at Hotel Indigo (or close to it), you won't need to worry about driving to the venue as we are providing shuttles. The RTD Light Rail is a great option that will take you from the Denver Airport to Union Station (about 40 min and $10/pp). Having a car would come in handy if you plan to explore outside the Denver area during your stay.
